Bringing awareness

Over the course of the next week, begin to notice the places in your life where you hold back in your expression. Each time you do, write them down in a journal or note on your phone. 

Examples: 

  • Not speaking a truth for fear of being judged
  • Being the midst of enjoying singing or expressing, but then stopping when someone walks into the room
  • Not expressing vocally during pleasure and/or feigning your expression 
  • Shying away from being seen/heard at an event 
  • Not speaking up about something that’s bothering you in a relationship or creating boundaries 

Through this practice, you can bring greater awareness to the areas of life that you compromise your expression.
